This bank is Europe-wide and has a large financial control team based in Brussels which carries out control for Treasury and Financial markets for the group. As a result of expansion, additional financial controllers are needed urgently.
The role:
1. carry out ongoing financial reporting for the Bank including financial consolidation in IFRS, as well as legal and regulatory reporting in IFRS, also US GAAP, and also BGAAP.
2. Sox controls and risk controls using BASEL2.
3. IFRS fair value calculation (daily) for financial products including derivative banking and insurance products using IAS 39 and IAS 32.
4. Involvement in all accountancy controls
5. IFRS support for dealing room activities.
Your experience:
1. Good accounting and/or audit experience involving IFRS. B- GAAP or US GAAP experience would be advantageous. Previous BIG 4 experience highly valued.
2. Exposure to SOX, Basel II would be useful.
3. Good knowledge of financial markets, including financial instruments (FX, Treasury, Equities, Derivatives, etc) is a definite advantage.
