Responsibilties
You will report directly to the Head of Products and Underwriting. In this key position, based in Luxembourg, you will have sole responsibility for all legal issues which results from running this business. In particular, you will review and prepare all legal and administrative documents related to the company and communicate with local authorities, e.g. CAA. In respect of our products, you have to support the product development process to that effect that you have to draft group insurance contracts, General Terms and Conditions as well as other related documents. Moreover, you have to prepare the whole contractual set-up for various co-operational models, e.g. Co-operation Agreements, Re-insurance Agreements and Service Agreements related to our Assistance- and Network Partners. As an internal legal counselor you will prepare legal opinions for the management and support other departments in all judical subjects, e.g. HR, Data Protection, Trademark and other Compliance issues. In addition, you will coordinate and evaluate the cooperation with external legal consultants in different countries in order to handle all procedures involving civil law and insurance law in accordance with the different national legal systems.

Profile
You are a fully qualified lawyer with an excellent knowledge of international legal systems and a respective working experience in an international environment, preferably in the insurance or finance industry. You have a very good command of written and spoken English and French. The knowledge of a further language like German or Spanish is a distinct advantage. You possess excellent analytical and negotiating skills and you are able to present results in a comprehensive way. Your motivation and capacity to think along international lines is significant. As a Team Player you are also able to work independently. Flexibility and the willingness to travel are rounding out the picture.
