Title: GIS Application Administration (Luxembourg)

In the context of one of our assignments in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a GIS application administrator.

Job description

He/she will join the informatics department which provide a high level of service quality 24 hours a day, each day of the year.

The Application Administrator will be in charge of the Geographical Information Systems infrastructure and will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Overseeing the daily administration of GeoDatabase, GIS systems and related tasks pertaining to configuration of such environments.

- Documentation procedures.

- Contribution to the definition of the reference platforms and services provided around the ESRI server products.

- Second level support, incident handling (based on ticketing system) and documenting.

- Technical advice and follow up on the client projects using GIS technologies.

Profile required

Education:

- ArcSDE & ArcIMS administration.

- ArcGIS Server Enterprise Configuration and Tuning for Oracle.

Experience:

- Minimum 8 years experience in IT.

- Proven experience in multi-user ArcGIS GeoDatabase administration.

- Proven experience with daily operation of mission critical systems in a large organisation.

- Experience in Oracle RDBMS administration and with Oracle Spatial will be beneficial.

- Experience in development of systems interfacing ESRI products from Java and .Net would be an asset.

Skills and knowledge:

- In depth knowledge of Windows Server environments.

- Advanced user in UNIX environments.

- Ability to work in a demanding environment where time flexibility is mandatory.

- Ability to communicate in English and French.
Some extended working hours and on-call services will have to be provided.
