Accountant - Robert Walters

Our client is a leading international group of laboratories providing an unparalleled range of testing and support services to the pharmaceutical, food, environmental and consumer products industries and to governments.

With about US$ 900 million annual revenues and more than 7000 employees across 150 sites in 29 countries, our client offers a portfolio of over 25,000 reliable analytical methods for characterising the safety, identity, purity, composition, authenticity and origin of products and biological substances.

In order to sustain its continual growth, our client is currently searching to recruit an:

Your responsibilities:

• Administration and general support for all Luxembourg entities:
o Build up and keep up to date the data room for Luxembourg
o Keep the data rooms for subsidiary companies and chase the timely
receipt of information
o Help setting up new companies
o Prepare the monthly and quarterly reporting, including for the group
finance in France
o Support the cost control with clear and regular analyses
o Draft all corporate income tax returns
o Liaise with the external auditors
o Manage the payroll function, including all calculations, withholdings,
social security and tax returns, vacation days, compliance with and
communication of rules

• Treasury function in Luxembourg:

o Administration and reconciliation of all inter-company loans
o Loan contracts administration
 Computation of interest to be charged (quarterly) by Lux finance
branch to borrowing entities
 Follow-up of signing procedure and filing an original copy of all
loan agreements in Lux Data room
o Manage requests for changes in loans and communication with group
companies regarding changes
o Follow-up of timely payment of interest by
o Preparation of reports for treasury

Your profile:

- Professional education for bookkeeping and administration
- Hands-on bookkeeping and reporting experience in similar environment
- Excellent bookkeeping and administrative knowledge
- Good understanding of tax return preparation
- Preferred is a good understanding of Luxembourg rules and regulations
- Basic banking and treasury knowledge
- Computer literate (very good MS Office skills)
- Fluency in French and English – Dutch being an asset
- Able to work independently and in an international environment, flexible
- Diplomatic (but firm), rigorous
- Can work well with all levels in the organization
- Good communication and social skills, team worker
- Good analytical skills
